The Secret to taking sharper images with your phone.
I've been asked over and over "How is it we have the same phone but your phone takes better pictures than mine?"
There are two answers to that question. Other than your lens being kept clean, here we go.
1. Most people are very impatient with the photo taking process. They quickly tap the button on their phones to take the picture and quickly pull the phone toward their face to examine the photo. The quick movement immediately after pushing the button is the problem. The next time you take a picture, simply hold the phone/camera still for an extra second after pushing the button/shutter. Holding your phone/camera still after taking the picture eliminates motion blur which occurs because the capturing of the image takes a second after you actually hit the button.
2. I use the Joi-Stik. The Joi-Stik is like a mini table top tripod and selfie stick all in one. It is easy to carry around in my book bag and small enough to not be a distraction when using it around other people. It comes with two adjustable clamps to hold your phone. The Joi-Stik is adjustable in height as well.
The Joi-Stik or a similar phone tripod is perfect for framing shots and eliminating any chance of motion blur occurring. This kind of device is also great for filming yourself. Instead searching for ways to prop your phone up or doing a video selfie, a phone tripod can help give a steady and professional look to your video content when filming yourself if nobody is around to hold the camera for you.
Note: Using the 3-10 second timer before taking a picture while using the Joi-Stik or any phone tripod completely eliminates motion blur.
